New website and services mark a milestone

North west-based Cresta Business Travel has unveiled a new website and package of services to positon itself at the leading-edge of its sector after nearly 50 years in business.

A radical overhaul of the company’s internal management structure and forging new partnerships have cemented the company’s reputation as a font of knowledge.

The management team at the Altrincham firm has been strengthened by the arrival of Craig Tierney as commercial operations manager who will head up the business travel team alongside a role developing the relationships with global travel partners. He brings a wealth of knowledge and an impressive and well-rounded 15-year record in the corporate travel industry.

Business development manager, Kirsty Nicholson, will continue to focus on extending relationships in existing and new sectors. Her experience and enthusiasm have played a major part in the exciting improvements taking place within the business.

Denise Fraser, general manager and director, said: “Ours is a hugely competitive sector, and we invest to keep our position in terms of technology. We are always looking to improve, change and ensure we have the best technology for our clients and our employees.

“But personal service is still the number one feature of our offer.  We still love speaking with clients and handling all the bookings and arrangements on their behalf.

These can often be quite complex, which is where our vast experience comes into its own.  Invariably, we can offer valuable insights and advice to save them time and money, and ultimately make their travel as enjoyable and efficient as possible."

The level of service provided by Cresta was highlighted in research conducted about the company, which looks after the global travel arrangements of some of the region’s largest companies as well as SMEs from a range of sectors, including marine manufacturing, pharmaceutical and sport.

The research revealed that customers viewed the Cresta team as heroes, which sparked the idea of putting them ‘centre stage’ as super heroes in the company’s new website.
