New B2B magazine launched in Cheshire

A brand new bi-monthly business magazine was launched in the county yesterday.

Cheshire Business is an editorially-led, glossy publication published by the same team which is behind Shropshire Business, which was launched in 2016.

Stories covered in the first edition include the possible impact of HS2 on the county according to many of those who have taken an active role in the proposition; an in-depth look at how the owning family of one of Cheshire's great estates, Bolesworth, is constantly look at new ways to diversify; the problems faced by businesses due to communication black spots; and the national significance of Cheshire's science corridor.

Editor Carl Jones (pictured) said the decision to launch Cheshire Business was taken after the idea was mooted to business people across the whole of the county.

"Cheshire is a fascinating and diverse county with a business community to match, and this magazine aims to shine a spotlight on these businesses and the people behind them.

"It is about championing these companies and individuals through news, features, interviews, commentary, analyses and interviews.

"The feedback we recieved indicated there is a strong appetite for such a magazine, and we also felt that Cheshire shares many synergies with Shropshire where our equivalent magazine has gone from strength to strength.

"We are printing approximately 3,000 copies to start off with and these are delivered to individual businesses, hubs, business centres, training centres, schools, hotels and clubs across the county."

Mr Jones, a former business editor of one of the UK's best-selling regional newspapers, said that copies of the magazine - which is free of charge - are available at Tanners Wines in Chester and at Millard & Lancaster in Tarporley.

Digital copies are available to download from the homepage of its accompanying website, cheshirebiz.com
